Magic Bullet! If it DID work before, and
you can go into Configure Livebox, try this first - it fixes a lot of problems
(not 506 / No Sync).
If you have a connection to the box working, try going into Configure Livebox (if it says Page Cannot Be Displayed, you don't have a connection, follow the instructions elsewhere instead, this here can only be done if you can access that page).
Log in, using admin for user name and admin for password (if it says Connect to; Inventel, etc.)
Once in there, make sure your broadband user name is OK.
Here it comes..
Even if the user name is OK, click Submit.
Doing this resets the connection, making it try and connect up again: to the signal, verifying the user name, and connecting to the Talk Service.
It is better to try this than switching the Livebox off (at first at least) because it doesn't risk damaging it as it can if you switch off during a firmware update.
Doing this can help with the following problems:
- PPP Server Down (Slow Flashing AT)
- Email - Error 554 / 0x800CCC6F or 0x800CCC79 when sending - this happens
because the IP address you are connected with has been blocked from sending
messages. Doing the above usually gives the Livebox a different address, so it
will work again. (Make sure you have up-to-date antivirus software though -
could be that YOU (and not the last owner of the IP address) have been blocked
because of viruses / adware programs sending bulk emails. Also spyware remover
software, your computer may have become infested - see Windows Defender
(previously known as Windows AntiSpyware) for an excellent program to remove
problems like this)
- Page Cannot Be Displayed when ADSL Status says Connected - if it says
Connected, it should work really
- TEL light not coming on despite the Talk Service being
active
